We moved to our current building in May of 2008, added a children's and educational wing in 2018 and renovated our former building for Student Ministry.
We refer to that facility as Midtown, it is located 3 blocks from Greenville High School.
Our average attendance on Sunday mornings in two services is approximately 500.
We have 3 full-time staff and 8 part-time staff.
There are approximately 80 students who attend regularly.
Our most recent Student Ministries Pastor left in November of 2022 to fill a role in adult ministries at Ada Bible Church near Grand Rapids, MI.
Our main objective as a church is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Student Ministries Director/Pastor Accountability:
To the Senior Pastor & Board Position Summary The Student Ministries Director/Pastor is primarily responsible for the planning, coordinating, leading, and shepherding of the middle school and high school ministries of CBC.
Along with its ministry to students, this position also includes equipping parents to disciple their students at home.
Duties and Responsibilities The following is a range of primary responsibilities for this position, though they should not be seen as exclusive:
Model Jesus Christ before the students of CBC.
Promote and fulfill the mission of CBC in and through the student ministries.
Disciple students to grow in their spiritual walk.
Provide pastoral care, including counseling for students, their families, and friends as needed.
Serve as the primary teacher of the middle school and high school ministries, delegating this responsibility as needed and accepting responsibility for the doctrine and teaching that students receive.
Recruit, train, equip, and encourage adult leaders to serve in various areas of Student Ministries.
Work in conjunction with the CBC Office Staff to ensure clear and effective communication to students, parents, and youth leaders regarding middle school and high school events and activities.
Develop and implement an ongoing evaluation process for the effectiveness of the middle school and high school ministries.
Oversee the student ministries budget, including curriculum, events, and mission trips.
Encourage participation of students into the life of the congregation as active participants of the church family (membership, ministry involvement, etc.
).
Operate as a team player with the church staff and ministry leaders of CBC.
General Responsibilities Participate as an active member of the pastoral staff.
Attend and participate in Staff/Board meetings.
Participate in Sunday worship services under the leadership and direction of the senior pastor.
Assist the pastoral staff in counseling and mentoring opportunities.
Oversee other ministries in the church as needed.
Qualifications Spiritual:
Is a born-again and baptized believer.
Lives consistently with and in commitment to the requirements of an elder as set forth in 1 Timothy 3:
1-7 and Titus 1:
6-9.
Demonstrates a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Models a Biblical pattern of life and leadership.
Evidences the spiritual gift of pastor/teacher.
Demonstrates a love for God and His people, especially students.
Shows evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in all aspects of personal life.
Professional:
Possesses strong servant-leadership, relational, teaching, discipleship, communication, organization, and administrative skills.
Is in full agreement with the Mission, Statement of Faith, and Constitution of Calvary Baptist Church of Greenville.
Bachelor's degree in Bible/Ministry or related field is preferred.
Previous experience in providing leadership in student ministry is preferred.
Personal:
Is well-ordered and disciplined in his spiritual and personal life, maintaining a fresh and vital personal prayer and devotional life as the basis for ministry and sustaining active prayer for and care of people.
Is a self-starter and can operate creatively with a vision offering plans and improvements for the ministry and staff at CBC.
Exhibits warmth, friendliness, hospitality, empathy, and sincerity; possesses an outgoing and friendly nature.
